Junior Achievement of South Florida hosts JA World Uncorked! presented by Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at JA World Huizenga Center at Broward College. This multifaceted Circle of Wise Women Signature Event combines food, wine, spirits, craft beers and amazing desserts. This third annual event raises funds to benefit the educational programs at JA of South Florida.

Burger Beast Announces the Burger Battle Alley Champ at JA World Uncorked!

This past weekend at the JA World Uncorked! event Burger Beast hosted Riverwalk Trust’s Burger Battle Alley preview at JA World Uncorked!. Burger Beast was happily situated between Chef Allen’s Burger Bar and Elevation Burger. He was always an arm’s length away from the good stuff! Check out his review HERE>

Burger Battle Alley ChampOur Judge’s had an amazing time tasting all the contenders, and ALL received high marks for taste and presentation. In fact is took Burger Beast and Riverwalk Trust’s votes to break the four-way tie!  In the end, Charm City Burger Company’s Haute Burger was just that!  Read all about the competition HERE>

A great time was has by all, while raising a lot of money for a good cause! Proceeds from this Circle of Wise Women signature event benefit the educational Programs at Junior Achievement of South Florida.

Las Olas staple Yolo clinched the top award from JA World Uncorked last night by serving up a “forever-braised” short rib over a potato risotto with crispy shallots. A majority of the Clean Plate Charlie panel of judges picked Yolo to win the Best Plate award at the second-annual Uncorked event. Here’s the full breakdown of the winners:

Sneak Peek: Elevation Burger’s ready to Battle…check this out!

Elevation Burger We start with 100% Grass fed Certified Organic Beef which we grind fresh at our locations. Each patty is then formed by hand, and cooked to a Medium-well temperature with only a hint of salt. Then to compliment the beef we use six month aged, non processed Chedder cheese topped with our Signature Elevation Sauce (tangy creamy tomato based sauce), sliced tomato, crunchy Kosher dill pickle and crisp iceberg lettuce sandwiched in a toasted potato bun. We also offer our diced Carmelized onions. We are The Best Tasting, Better for YOU BURGER !
